MUSEUM OF COMMUNISM / MUSEO DEL COMUNISMO

The museum focuses on the totalitarian regime in Checoslovaquia from the February coup in 1948 to its rapid collapse in November 1989. The theme of the Museum is "Communism- the Dream, the Reality, and the Nightmare" and visitors will be treated to a fully immersive experience.

El museo se centra en el régimen totalitario que emergió del golpe de estado de 1948 en Checoslovaquia hasta su colapso en noviembre de 1989. La temática del Museo es "Comunismo - El sueño, la realidad y la pesadilla" donde los visitantes recibirán una experiencia de inmersión completa.

From elegant, to kitschy, and all are well represented in this museum which highlights over 17,000 salt and pepper shakers collected by Andrea Ludden over the past 22 years. There are salt and pepper shakers from all over the world. Big ones, small ones, cute ones, quirky ones, glass, plastic and wooden ones -- just about any type of salt and pepper shaker ever made is on display.
